Who is responsible?

What data do we store?

For your account: email address, optionally your first name, your password only as an unreadable check value (hash), your language, your learning progress (solved problems, chosen level), the time of sign-up and last login, and the time and IP address of your consent to this policy. After failed login attempts we store email and IP address for at most 24 hours to fend off attacks.

What for?

To let you learn with an account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to protect the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not sell data and show no third-party ads.

Cookies and browser storage

Only technically necessary cookies: elektronik_sid (session, until you close the browser), elektronik_merk (only if you choose "Stay logged in", 180 days), elektronik_lang (chosen language, 1 year). The browser also stores your progress locally so it is not lost without a connection. No tracking or advertising cookies.

External services

The site runs on a server at the provider Hostinger, which is also used to send the emails. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google. There are no analytics tools.

How long?

Until you delete your account. You can do this yourself at any time under "Account"; everything is removed immediately. Unconfirmed sign-ups may be deleted after 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Write to info@astro2match.de. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
